Salary on appointment will be £29,605 per annum, with an annual increment up to £36,024 per annum.

An exciting opportunity awaits for a Technical IT Specialist within the Faculty of Science. Are you a tech enthusiast ready to make an impact in computing sciences? We are seeking a talented individual to provide computing expertise and technical support within the School of Computing Sciences.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Supporting, maintaining, and administering the school's computing laboratories.
  • Diagnosing and resolving hardware and school-specific software issues.
  • Support a number of specialist equipment including UAV (unmanned aerial vehicles).

The successful applicant will be required to enrol and take a CAA-accredited training course with the Hexcam Aerial Academy, accreditation of the training course will be required within 6 months of appointment. This expertise will be used to support research and consultancy projects involving specialist equipment 3D Printers, VR equipment and motion capture devices. This full-time post is available from 2 September 2024 on an indefinite basis and will be campus based.
