About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Safety Specialist to join our team at Todd Hayes Ltd. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safety engineering support to our clients' operations and projects, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards.
  • Conduct competent in-house safety studies, including risk assessments, hazard identification, and consequence modeling.
  • Develop and maintain safety case material, including barrier diagrams, quantitative risk assessments, and safety critical system impairment assessments.
  • Collaborate with operations and projects teams to ensure regulatory requirements are met and permits are obtained.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and advice to teams on safety matters, including regulatory compliance and best practices.
  • Maintain current knowledge of changes to HSE legislation, codes, guidelines, and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Higher technical qualification in an engineering field, such as process safety, chemical, or mechanical engineering.
  • At least 10 years of experience in safety engineering in the oil and gas industry, with experience in both design and operation.
  • Proficiency in software applications, including MS Office, PHAST, PHA-Pro, BowTie XP, and FLARESIM.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with senior management and regulatory bodies.
