About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Metocean Engineer to join our expanding survey team at Partrac, a leading provider of metocean services for the renewables and coastal industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute preventative maintenance, testing, and inspection of metocean instrumentation and moorings.
  • Contribute to project preparation, mobilization, and servicing of seabed-deployed oceanographic equipment, floating systems, and fixed systems.
  • Ensure adherence to management systems, including ISO accreditation and QHSE procedures.
  • Prepare project documentation in line with legislation, regulation, industry best practice, and client requirements.
  • Produce accurate and timely survey reports.
Requirements
  • Education to level 3 or above in science, engineering, electrical, or mechanical disciplines, or a degree in an oceanographic-related field.
  • Minimum 2 years' industry experience in a relevant technical or engineering role.
  • Experience with writing risk assessments and method statements.
  • Practical experience in the delivery of technical projects, including equipment knowledge and metocean instrumentation deployment.
  • Practical workboat experience, including lifting operations.
  • Systematic and methodical approach with attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, data loggers, and instrument interfaces with satellite/GSM telemetry systems.
  • Fluent in English (spoken, reading, and writing).
  • Clear and confident communication skills.
  • Full driving license (manual).
  • Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel, primarily in the UK and Europe, with potential for global expansion.
