**Our Team**

We are a fast-growing company that requires specialists to help our clients plan and execute successful projects offshore. Our team is expanding, and we are seeking a Senior Oceanographer / Metocean Engineer / Party Chief to join us in the southwest of the UK.

**Requirements**

  • Educated to level 5 or above in science, engineering, electrical, or mechanical disciplines, or a degree in an oceanographic-related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a relevant technical or engineering role.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, data loggers, and instrument interfaces with satellite/GSM telemetry systems.
  • Fluent in English (spoken, reading, and writing).
  • A full driving license (manual).
  • A willingness to travel, predominantly in the UK and Europe, but also further afield as we expand globally.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Take a lead role in the improvement of QHSE systems, survey operations, and the technical capabilities of the metocean team.
  • Lead as party chief on project mobilization and servicing of seabed-deployed oceanographic equipment, floating systems, including wave buoys and LIDAR systems, in addition to fixed systems such as wave radar and tide gauges installations.
  • Lead and coach metocean engineers to deliver safe and successful site operations.
  • Lead the preparation of project documentation in line with legislation, industry best practice, client requirements, and our own high standards.
  • Excel in communication with clients and subcontractors.
  • Complete accurate survey operation reports to a high standard.
  • Experience in the practical delivery of technical projects, including equipment knowledge, and experience of the deployment of metocean instrumentation in coastal and offshore regions.
  • Experience of working from various platforms, such as ports/quays/small workboats/multicast/anchor handling vessels/offshore installations, etc.
