About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sales and Business Development professional to lead our sales efforts within the UK higher education market. As the Head of Sales and Business Development, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by proactively working with higher education establishments across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy focused on the UK higher education sector, targeting both existing customers and new prospects.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within higher education institutions, understanding their needs and aligning our solutions accordingly.
  • Revenue Growth: Drive sales performance to achieve and exceed revenue targets through upselling existing clients and acquiring new business.
  • Market Insight: Stay informed about industry trends, challenges, and opportunities within the higher education sector, ensuring our solutions remain relevant and competitive.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture that encourages collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the product, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure seamless delivery of services and a superior customer experience.
Requirements
  • Proven track record in a senior sales, business development, revenue or growth position.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the higher education market.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Results-driven with a proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify market opportunities and drive long-term growth.
  • A proactive new business hunter with the ability to nurture existing relationships and account manage existing customers.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a customer-focused approach.
