About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Community Wound Care Nurse to join our team at Accelerate CIC. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality wound and lymphoedema care to our patients in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled care and management to patients with acute and hard-to-heal wounds, including lower limb leg ulcerations and lymphoedema.
  • Work collaboratively with the Clinical Lead and other team members to develop and implement effective care plans.
  • Contribute to the delivery of innovative community-based solutions and provide an excellent and structured development programme.
  • Be a contributory member of the team, helping to advance both the service and the mission.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • First-level Registered Nurse qualification and current NMC registration or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year's nursing experience post-qualification, with clinical experience of patients with long-term conditions.
  • Experience of wound assessment and management, including lower limb leg ulcerations and general lymphoedema management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under guidance and take instruction, while being able to operate with minimal supervision in implementing and evaluating care for patients.
