About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Wound Care Nurse to join our team at Accelerate CIC. As a Community Wound Care Nurse, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality wound and lymphoedema care to our patients in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the skilled delivery of wound and lymphoedema care in our community services.
  • Provide an excellent and structured development programme for patients with acute and hard-to-heal wounds.
  • Work collaboratively with the Clinical Lead and other teams to meet the needs of clients.
  • Be actively involved in carrying out clinical skills as directed in a shared plan of care.
  • Enable clients, their families, and carers to be involved in the prevention and management of wounds and lymphoedema in the lower limb.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • First-level Registered Nurse
  • Current NMC Registration or Equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year's nursing experience post-qualification
  • Clinical experience of patients with long-term conditions
  • Experience of wound assessment and management
  • Experience of lower limb leg ulcerations and general lymphoedema management
  • Experience and knowledge of a variety of compression bandaging
  • Experience of working within a team
  • Knowledge of professional issues in healthcare
