Community Wound Care Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Community Wound Care Nurse to join our team at Accelerate CIC. As a Community Wound Care Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality wound and lymphoedema care to our patients in Tower Hamlets and City and Hackney.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the skilled delivery of wound and lymphoedema care in our community services.
- Provide excellent and structured development programmes for patients and staff.
- Work collaboratively with the Clinical Lead and other teams to meet the needs of clients.
- Be actively involved in carrying out clinical skills as directed in a shared plan of care.
- Enable clients, their families, and carers to be involved in the prevention and management of wounds and lymphoedema in the lower limb.
Person Specification
- First-level Registered Nurse.
- Current NMC Registration or Equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year's nursing experience post-qualification.
- Clinical experience of patients with long-term conditions.
- Experience of wound assessment and management.
- Experience of lower limb leg ulcerations and general lymphoedema management.
- Experience and knowledge of a variety of compression bandaging.
- Experience of working within a team.
- Knowledge of professional issues in healthcare.
