Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Community Wound Care Nurse to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of high-quality wound and lymphoedema care in our community services.

Job Responsibilities
  • To provide skilled care and management to patients with long-term conditions, delivered in a thoughtful, creative, and timely manner.
  • To champion the delivery of all aspects of the service under the direction of the Clinical Lead, including the creation of efficiencies and productive working.
  • To provide daily management within leg ulcer clinics and homes across the borough.
  • To encourage individualised care that enables people to tolerate treatments and thereby improve outcomes.
  • To enhance the delivery of quality improvement initiatives, KPIs, and internal audit.
  • To bring critique to internal and external systems, creating positive change through effective team working.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • FIRST-LEVEL REGISTERED NURSE
  • CURRENT NMC REGISTRATION OR EQUIVALENT
  • MINIMUM 1 YEAR'S NURSING EXPERIENCE POST QUALIFICATION
  • CLINICAL EXPERIENCE OF PATIENTS WITH LONG-TERM CONDITIONS
  • EXPERIENCE OF WOUND ASSESSMENT AND MANAGEMENT
  • EXPERIENCE OF LOWER LIMB LEG ULCERATIONS AND GENERAL LYMPHOEDEMA MANAGEMENT
  • EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE OF A VARIETY OF COMPRESSION BANDAGING
  • EXPERIENCE OF WORKING WITHIN A TEAM
