Role Overview
Location: Flexible within the UK, with a preference for candidates based in key operational sites.

As an Operational Electrical Engineer within our Offshore Wind division, you will leverage your technical expertise to ensure the integrity and reliability of our operational assets, where any failure could significantly impact safety, environmental standards, and business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary support for Operations and Engineering teams, formulating both proactive and corrective maintenance strategies for various high and low voltage systems.
- Conduct regular testing, maintenance, and inspections of electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Oversee the electrical infrastructure throughout the lifecycle of wind farm assets.
- Collaborate with and manage external contractors on-site, ensuring compliance with SSE standards and adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Maintain detailed technical records regarding the condition and status of electrical components, proactively addressing asset integrity.
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- Proven experience in Electrical Engineering within an operational context.
- Experience as a Senior Authorised Person at 33kV or 66kV, or a willingness to pursue this qualification with training provided.
- A track record of managing technical projects and engaging with stakeholders effectively.
- Strong teamwork capabilities and excellent communication skills, demonstrating a commitment to engineering excellence.
- Relevant technical qualifications or equivalent experience, coupled with a passion for renewable energy and proficiency in IT and report writing.
