Key Responsibilities:
As a Renewable Energy Survey Specialist, you will be instrumental in performing on-site evaluations to determine the viability of rooftops for the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.
Your knowledge will contribute to providing clean, renewable energy solutions for residential and commercial clients.Responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough assessments of rooftops to ascertain their suitability for solar PV installations.
- Documenting survey results meticulously to avoid installations on unsuitable roofs and mitigate potential liabilities.
- Collaborating with the technical team to effectively manage survey assignments and prioritize tasks.
- Exhibiting punctuality and self-direction in organizing and executing survey schedules.
- Utilizing a company-provided vehicle for transportation to various survey sites.
- Compiling survey findings and images into a detailed report, leveraging strong IT skills to present data clearly and effectively.
Essential Qualifications:
- In-depth understanding of electrical systems, installations, and applicable regulations.
- Familiarity with diverse roofing types, including pitched tile, slate, metal standing seam, metal trap, and flat roofs.
- Experience in identifying and evaluating defects or issues in solar PV installations and roof conditions.
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to independently manage survey schedules.
- Knowledge of solar installation practices, particularly in commercial environments, is a plus.
- Proficient in IT skills, including the ability to create comprehensive reports from survey data and images.
- Possession of a clean driving license and meeting age requirements for company vehicle insurance.
- Willingness to travel to various project locations as necessary.
