We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Claims Handler to join our Personal Injury team in Liverpool or Sevenoaks. As a Claims Handler, you will be responsible for proactively managing a portfolio of motor claims, predominantly Third Party Personal Injury Claims, as well as out-of-jurisdiction claims, property damage, credit hire, and accident damage.
Key Responsibilities- Take ownership of your performance and meet set objectives
- Validate claims for indemnity and fraud, ensuring accurate and timely decision-making
- Provide proactive and correct assessment of liability, using relevant tools and expertise
- Accurately assess quantum claims, applying company guidelines and best practices
- Assist with coaching and mentoring less experienced handlers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development
- Adhere to best practices and key strategies, ensuring compliance and excellence
- Effectively manage files and portfolios, maintaining high standards of organization and productivity
- Ability to work in a culture of openness, trust, and respect, with strong organization skills and task prioritization
- Experience in handling injury claims outside the Low Value Personal Injury Claims Portal, with knowledge of civil procedure rules
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to fact-find and make accurate decisions
