Enterprise Risk Strategist

Role Overview
This position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic team focused on enhancing risk management processes across the organization. As an Enterprise Risk Strategist, you will be responsible for implementing a comprehensive risk management framework that empowers leadership to identify and evaluate risks in alignment with the company's risk tolerance. Your role will involve creating essential tools, templates, and reporting mechanisms to facilitate risk-related discussions throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain risk dashboards, maps, and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to ensure they accurately reflect ongoing risk assessments and conversations.
- Foster a culture of risk awareness by collaborating with the Head of Risk Management and other senior leaders to conduct risk workshops and meetings aimed at identifying and managing critical business risks.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with risk owners throughout the organization, assisting them in understanding and adapting to evolving risk profiles.
- Contribute to the regulatory reporting process by preparing the Principal Risks & Uncertainties section for the Annual Report.
- Stay informed about emerging trends in risk management through external networks, evaluating their relevance to the organization and integrating them into operational practices as needed.
- Lead the development of responses to corporate governance requirements, particularly those set forth by regulatory bodies, and assess their implications for the organization.
- Create and refine tools, templates, and reporting structures to support effective risk discussions across the business.
- Collaborate with other risk assurance and control teams to enhance standards and eliminate redundancy.
- Address inquiries from business stakeholders by providing independent risk insights and coordinating support as necessary.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in facilitating risk management discussions and workshops across various organizational levels.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles and control environments.
- Experience in complex operational settings; retail experience is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to build robust stakeholder relationships at all levels of seniority.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey the implications of risks to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in report writing.
- A commitment to continuous learning and personal development.
- Comprehensive knowledge of risk management frameworks and current trends.
- Solid commercial awareness and understanding of business operations.
- Effective time management and project management skills to ensure timely and quality delivery of work.
