Job Overview

Contract - Cybersecurity Strategist

Harrington Starr is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Strategist to join our team on a 6-month rolling contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Maintain Security Architecture: Lead the development of security architecture and principles, contributing to the creation and updating of Technology Risk-led standards.
  • Strategize and Secure: Develop and maintain a security architecture process that empowers our enterprise to create and implement secure solutions, seamlessly aligned with business goals, technology advancements, and threat landscapes.
  • Governance and Alignment: Define and deliver security architecture governance, ensuring all IT projects and key initiatives adhere to our core security principles and overarching IT strategy.
  • Integrate Security: Support application and infrastructure teams by embedding security-by-design principles into their project lifecycles.
  • Expert Guidance: Provide expertise in security systems and architectures, keeping abreast of cybersecurity trends and emerging threats.
  • Risk Management: Collaborate with the Technology Risk team to evaluate and mitigate risks, ensuring IT frameworks and methodologies reflect best practices in information security.

Requirements:

  • Security Architect Experience: Proven commercial experience as a security architect in financial services
  • Design: Good understanding of design principles that incorporate security protocol and risk management
  • Stakeholder Management: An ability to manage expectations, timelines and communicate effectively both up and downstream
  • Technical Strength: Skilled in complex security concepts, security governance and risk protocols.
