Job Summary:

NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Call Handler in the Phlebotomy Single Point of Access (SPoA) service. As a Call Handler, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders, ensuring that all referrals are processed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answering all incoming calls and responding to referrals in a timely and professional manner
  • Completing outbound calls to patients and healthcare professionals to gather information and provide updates
  • Ensuring that all referrals are input into the electronic patient information system accurately and timely
  • Triage of patients as appropriate and appointment booking for the Phlebotomy service
  • Providing excellent customer service and ensuring that all interactions are conducted in a helpful and pleasant manner

Requirements:

  • Good communication skills and ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent keyboard skills and ability to work accurately and efficiently
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
  • Customer Care focused and good telephone skills
  • Helpful and pleasant manner
  • Excellent team working skills
  • Previous experience of call centre or similar work desirable
