In the UK and Ireland, Schneider Electric leads the energy management sector through our products, systems, and services. This role will shape the future vision of our sales strategy to engage both new and existing customers across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Business VPs in Sales, Finance, Strategy, and HR to design and implement an optimal sales incentive plan by establishing the right KPIs to drive profitable growth.
- Design and execute the sales model. Schneider Electric in the UK and Ireland operates with a turnover of 1B₠ and has ambitious plans to expand our offerings to both existing and new customers. You will partner with Business VPs to develop the most effective sales models and coverage by customer type to maximize customer impact and revenue generation while achieving recurring cost efficiencies.
- Manage and establish a pipeline of projects with the support of the Data Office. You will lead the strategy for creating a customer project pipeline, ensuring that sales teams have the necessary tools and insights to maximize revenue with targeted customers and segments.
- Oversee the transformation of the sales information system. In collaboration with the customer operations team, you will identify the need for new sales tools and optimize existing ones. You will ensure proper deployment and usage of systems across all sales teams, driving the quality of sales data within the systems (BFO, BFS, Greenberry).
- Engage in and challenge transversal processes. As the Sales Excellence Director, you will participate in sales workforce planning, competition analysis, market surveys, etc., and are expected to deliver insights while constructively collaborating with your leadership peers and current practices.
- Reporting directly to the VP of Global Marketing & Sales Excellence, you will work closely with the sales community and lead the commercial board, promoting collaborative exchanges among sales leaders (cross-selling, best practices, optimization...)
- While experience in this industry is not mandatory, significant sales and sales excellence experience, along with a desire to implement the best sales structure for this business, is essential. This role involves regular interaction with the CFO and Zone President, as well as fellow executive committee members and sales leaders; there is potential to influence the future direction of the company and advance your career.
- Extensive experience in sales, sales leadership, and sales strategy.
- Proven track record of commercial success.
- Experience as an individual contributor in sales before progressing to strong sales leadership is essential.
- Expertise in sales strategy and excellence is crucial; this candidate must have experience in designing and leading sales strategies across teams and implementing best practices in sales operations.
- Deep understanding of business models, strategy, market practices, business drivers, processes, systems, culture, and stakeholders.
- Ability to craft a compelling narrative using data and evidence to influence and persuade.
- Strong networking skills to facilitate collaboration and ease decision-making processes among teams, acting as a trusted advisor and change facilitator.
- Commitment to achieving sustainable results by effectively influencing stakeholders to meet business objectives in alignment with ethical principles and compliance.
- Experience in people management (including managing managers) with a passion for team building. This role involves overseeing the Head of Inside Sales and developing a small team of Sales Excellence professionals.
- A passion for external networking - understanding market risks and opportunities and collaborating with customers and local agencies to drive change.
