ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Planning Co-Ordinator plays an essential role within the Planning & Production team at Fred Perry. This position is pivotal in managing all pre-season activities within the department. It offers a dynamic opportunity to thrive in a fast-paced setting alongside a collaborative team.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure data accuracy and integrity, serving as the driving force behind effective pre-season planning. Your organizational skills and ability to communicate across departments will be fundamental in launching each collection successfully. You will facilitate the planning department's operations through efficient time management, scheduling, and tracking departmental objectives.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Range Evaluations:

Participate in range evaluations with planners and Product Development to assess the forthcoming range, concentrating on any qualitative challenges that may affect placement or production.

•Utilize these insights to inform and present the review of placement dates.

Product Placement Scheduling:

Each quarter, initiate the collection of information regarding product placement timelines for the supply chain.

•Provide planners with insights on potential issues that could impact delivery targets based on supplier feedback and observations from range evaluations.

Collaborate and communicate next steps with Planners, Product Development, and Quality based on these findings.

Product/System Catalogue Data Management:

Champion product catalogue data integrity each quarter by working with product development and the planning analyst to identify inaccuracies that could affect data quality.

•Collaborate with the product development team to ensure that Critical Path data is current and drive deadlines for any outstanding information to facilitate product catalogue checks and pricing.

•Maintain system information integrity, including product availability dates, placement schedules, supplier/cost prices, and product completion within AS400.

Sales Sample Process:

Work with Customer Support and Product Development teams to ensure clear SMS allocation to markets, ensuring that this information is accurately reflected in the Critical Path.

•Initiate the compilation of SMS Purchase Order documents for all product categories and oversee the creation of Purchase Orders, ensuring accuracy.

Data Extractions:

Generate the master data necessary to commence the extraction process.

•Collaborate with the team to provide extraction documentation for suppliers and execute the required Purchase Order creation.

•Assist with all post-extraction activities.

Label Management:

Oversee the label ordering process, ensuring that label downloads are conducted weekly with attention to any specific nuances that may arise.

  • Strong affinity with the brand.
  • Previous experience or knowledge in the apparel industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Proficient in analyzing and utilizing large volumes of data.
  • Critical thinking skills – consistently seeking opportunities for improvement.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Access.
  • Exceptional communication skills – able to effectively convey information within the department and across other areas of the organization to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, at an advanced level.
  • A self-starter with a proactive and collaborative approach.
  • Strong attention to detail.


WORKING HOURS:

We promote a healthy work/life balance and offer flexible working hours at Fred Perry HQ. Our core hours are from 10am to 4:30pm, allowing employees to choose to start and finish early or late. We also provide a 30-minute early finish on Fridays.

As we adapt to a more flexible working model, our Head Office serves as a brand hub where team members can connect and collaborate. This role combines office-based work and remote flexibility, with expectations for regular in-office attendance for meetings and collaborative projects.
