This role presents a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Project Manager to become an integral part of our global organization and advance within Comms Multilingual Ltd. The Project Manager plays a crucial role in our operations, focusing on delivering projects punctually and maintaining the highest standards of quality, ensuring client satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful applicant will possess a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience (preferably 2 or more) in a Language Service Provider (LSP) environment as a translation or localization Project Manager/Coordinator. Applications from candidates without this experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing single language or multilingual projects from order receipt to final delivery
  • Utilizing Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools
  • Communicating effectively with suppliers and clients
  • Editing and proofreading translated materials
  • Conducting translation tasks as necessary
  • Preparing files in various formats
  • Creating reference documentation for projects, including glossaries, Translation Memories, and Term Bases
  • Performing thorough quality checks on all documents, including typeset materials and web content
  • Adhering to established project timelines
  • Testing new software when required
  • Executing any other reasonable duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

  • Eligibility to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available)
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Translation Project Manager (ideally 2+ years)
  • A degree in Languages, Translation, or Linguistics (preferably a Master's degree)
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and keen attention to detail
  • Strong multitasking skills across various projects
  • Proficient spoken and written knowledge of one or more languages in addition to the native language
  • If English is not the first language, a strong command of English is essential. Preferred languages include Spanish, German, French, and Chinese
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a professional telephone demeanor
  • Capability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint
  • Technical proficiency with translation technology (experience with CAT tools such as MemoQ and SDL Trados is required)
  • Familiarity with OCR, business management software, and other relevant tools is advantageous
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign is a plus
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence applications is beneficial
  • Understanding of programming or regex is a bonus
