Special Educational Needs Support Assistant – Full-Time Position

We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic support assistant to enhance the educational experience of our students. The ideal candidate will foster strong relationships with children, educators, and families to facilitate optimal learning outcomes.

Full-time Commitment – (Monday to Friday) 8:30am – 3:30pm

Compensation: £15 per hour

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in addressing the unique needs of students throughout the school.
  • Collaborate effectively with the classroom teacher and other educational professionals, including the SENCO.
  • Identify and communicate learning gaps to the class teacher.
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic, a positive demeanor, and a genuine passion for education.
  • Conduct intervention sessions with small groups or individual students.
  • Engage actively within the classroom, fostering a stimulating and secure learning environment.
  • Advocate for the inclusive ethos of the school on a daily basis.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Level 2 or higher relevant qualification.
  • Experience in supporting children or young adults with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
  • Enhanced DBS check – on the update service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm and commitment.
  • Capability to work collaboratively, including with parents.
