Job Objective

The Strategic Infrastructure division is collaborating with partner organizations to facilitate the development of significant onshore initiatives throughout the UK as part of the Great Grid Partnership (GGP). This enduring collaboration necessitates enhanced teamwork. Our Enterprise Director is spearheading this integration and is in search of a Colleague Communication and Engagement Manager to assist the GGP Executive team. This position entails working alongside partner organizations to create and execute the GGP colleague communications strategy, effectively bringing "The Great Grid Upgrade" to fruition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute the Great Grid Partnership colleague communications and engagement strategy, with an emphasis on integration and change management.
  • Collaborate with the GGP senior leadership team to foster visibility and trust in the transformations and new partnerships.
  • Develop and oversee engaging content across internal communication channels, ensuring consistency and clarity of essential messages.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of content and channels, utilizing data to guide communication strategies.
  • Provide communication guidance to Great Grid Partnership leadership and teams, ensuring alignment with the overarching communication strategy.
  • Organize and manage events and campaigns as necessary.
  • Share best practices and work collaboratively with colleague communication teams to enhance engagement and effective communication across the GGP.

Candidate Profile

Experience and Expertise

  • Demonstrated proficiency in crafting and executing colleague communications and engagement strategies, plans, and campaigns.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the internal communication landscape, including planning, research, measurement, and channel utilization.
  • Proficient writer capable of producing captivating content for varied audiences across multiple platforms.
  • Ability to navigate a matrixed environment with partner organizations.
  • Proven experience in offering colleague communications support in extensive operational settings.

  • Competence in generating high-quality content under tight deadlines and pressure.
  • Innovative and flexible communication style, adapting messages to suit specific audiences.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including negotiation and influence.

Benefits

A competitive salary of up to £65,000, commensurate with experience and capabilities.

In addition to the base salary, you will be eligible for a performance-related bonus of up to 15% of your salary and a competitive contributory pension scheme, with the company matching your contributions up to a maximum of 12%. You will also have access to various flexible benefits, including a share incentive plan, salary sacrifice schemes for vehicles and technology, support through employee assistance programs, and matched charitable contributions.
