Position Overview

Wates Group is seeking a Community Engagement Officer to join our Planned Maintenance Team. This role is essential for fostering communication between residents and project teams, ensuring a harmonious environment during maintenance activities.

The primary responsibility of this position is to facilitate interactions with tenants and project personnel concerning scheduled maintenance tasks, thereby promoting a secure and supportive atmosphere while assisting the operational team in executing the planned maintenance agenda throughout the contract duration.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with the lead supervisor to develop an annual work schedule and assist the operational team in timely and quality delivery of projects that offer value for money.
  • Maintain effective communication with all parties involved and organize regular meetings to discuss progress.
  • Clearly inform tenants about upcoming works and provide access notices, ensuring the site team is aware of any necessary accommodations.
  • Implement a complaints management system to address disputes and claims for damages.
  • Participate in community events that are organized.
  • Report any defects to the Project Lead and provide insights on recurring issues.
  • Regularly verify that commitments made to residents are being fulfilled.
