Position Overview

As Bradford prepares for its transformation into the UK City of Culture, First Bus, the primary public transport provider in the area, is seeking dedicated Customer Service Representatives to enhance our team. These roles are crucial in supporting both our customers and operational staff during a period of significant urban development. Our representatives will serve as vital points of contact, ensuring a seamless and efficient customer service experience during our peak operational times.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver timely and precise information to facilitate smooth journeys for customers, including guidance on service schedules and ticketing. Maintain high service standards by overseeing the cleanliness of vehicles and ensuring accurate information at bus stops. Collaborate with local authorities to relay customer feedback effectively. Proactively address and resolve customer issues and concerns. Utilize internal systems to provide relevant information to customers. Report any incidents or areas for improvement to depot management accurately.

Company Responsibilities

Perform additional tasks as assigned by your line manager, within your capabilities. Comply with all First Bus policies and procedures. Engage in training and development activities as requested by your line manager. Adhere to safety policies and support new initiatives.

Health and Safety Responsibilities

Ensure your own safety and that of others by following health and safety guidelines. Report any incidents, near misses, or safety concerns to your manager promptly. Participate in safety discussions and initiatives.

Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

Previous experience in customer service is essential. Proficient IT skills, particularly in MS Office applications. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to think quickly and devise innovative solutions.

Work Schedule

This position involves shift work, including split shifts.
