Position Overview

Mobile Services Technician (Electrical or HVAC Focus)

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be tasked with ensuring that all environmental conditions are consistently upheld concerning critical building systems. Responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), as well as addressing reactive and breakdown tasks for all mechanical and electrical systems across various sites.
  2. Traveling to multiple locations as required, necessitating a full UK driving license.
  3. Executing routine PPM (in accordance with SFG 20) for all mechanical and electrical equipment based on site task schedules and asset inventories.
  4. Completing reactive tasks throughout the facilities and proactively identifying areas for enhancement.
  5. Swiftly addressing plant faults and defects to maintain operational efficiency.
  6. Ensuring the availability of necessary spare parts for both maintenance and reactive tasks.
  7. Completing all relevant documentation related to PPM, reactive, and breakdown tasks, ensuring timely submission to the contract administrator.
  8. Preparing and utilizing Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all undertaken tasks to guarantee safe working practices.
  9. Fostering positive working relationships with all CBRE personnel, subcontractors, and client representatives.
  10. Maintaining up-to-date shift logs consistently.
  11. Ensuring that all plant rooms under CBRE Managed Services are secured and maintained in a clean and orderly state.
  12. Overseeing and monitoring subcontractor activities while on-site for maintenance tasks.
  13. Arranging and providing cover for holidays and sickness at short notice, demonstrating flexibility in work patterns.
  14. Performing lone working duties when necessary, contingent upon successful training completion.
  15. Completing assigned tasks with a strong emphasis on health and safety awareness.
  16. Keeping the Computer Based Maintenance system, SI LOCAL, updated, ensuring accurate closure of PPM and reactive tickets.
  17. Implementing a Permit to Work System in line with CBRE Quality, Health & Safety protocols, and client specifications.
  18. Providing holiday and emergency cover as needed, potentially at sites not typically managed.
  19. Executing any additional tasks as directed by the account management team.
Qualifications

A solid educational background is essential, with proficiency in written and spoken English. A CITY AND GUILDS qualification in a relevant discipline is required.

Candidates should possess:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of general building operations, diagnostic and repair methodologies, and familiarity with building services systems and maintenance schedules.
  • Formal training in electrical and mechanical maintenance.
  • Mechanical and commissioning experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in UPS, Generators, HV, PDU's, Crac units, or equivalent systems, including the ability to troubleshoot using graphical data and current alarm information.
  • An understanding of the distinction between maintainable assets and BPL maintained assets within laboratory and production settings.
  • Mechanical maintenance skills with experience in maintaining relevant mechanical and electrical equipment to established criteria.
  • A willingness to provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and adapt to varying work patterns.
  • A valid full UK driving license.
