Position Overview:

As a Field Service Engineer with a focus on mobile operations, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the functionality of essential building systems.

Role Objective:

The primary aim of this position is to ensure optimal environmental conditions are upheld concerning critical infrastructure systems. You will be tasked with executing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), addressing reactive issues, and managing breakdowns for all mechanical and electrical systems across various sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Travel to various locations as required, necessitating a valid UK driving license.
  2. Conduct routine PPM in accordance with established schedules and asset lists.
  3. Address reactive maintenance tasks promptly and proactively identify areas for improvement.
  4. Swiftly resolve plant faults and defects to maintain operational efficiency.
  5. Ensure availability of necessary spare parts for maintenance and reactive tasks.
  6. Complete all relevant documentation regarding PPM, reactive, and breakdown activities in a timely manner.
  7. Prepare and utilize Method Statements and Risk Assessments to ensure safe working practices.
  8. Foster positive working relationships with CBRE staff, subcontractors, and client representatives.
  9. Maintain a safe and healthy working environment, adhering to uniform and PPE requirements.
  10. Uphold the professional image of CBRE Managed Services at all times.
  11. Keep accurate shift logs and ensure cleanliness and security of plant rooms.
  12. Supervise subcontractor activities during maintenance tasks.
  13. Provide flexible coverage for holidays and sickness as needed.
  14. Complete assigned tasks with a strong focus on health and safety compliance.
  15. Maintain awareness of and adhere to contractual KPIs and SLAs.
  16. Utilize the Computer Based Maintenance system to ensure accurate data capture for PPM and reactive tickets.
  17. Operate within the Permit to Work System in line with CBRE's Quality and Health & Safety procedures.
  18. Be prepared to provide emergency cover at various sites as required.
  19. Perform any additional tasks as directed by the account management team.

Qualifications:

Education:
A solid educational background is essential, with proficiency in written and spoken English and basic mathematics. A CITY AND GUILDS qualification in a relevant discipline is preferred.

Skills:
Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, ability to remain calm under pressure, and sound decision-making skills are crucial. Candidates should be physically fit, capable of handling tools and components weighing up to 20kg, and comfortable working at heights. A collaborative team player, you will work effectively with CBRE Managed Services and client representatives at all levels.

Knowledge:
A comprehensive understanding of general building operations, diagnostic and repair procedures, and maintenance schedules is required. Formal training in electrical and mechanical maintenance, along with BMS knowledge, is advantageous. Familiarity with UPS, Generators, HV, PDU's, and Crac units is essential, including the ability to troubleshoot using graphical information and current alarm data.

Experience:
Proven mechanical maintenance skills and experience in maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment to defined standards are necessary. A solid understanding of general building works and maintenance systems is expected.

Flexibility:
Willingness to provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and adaptability in working patterns are essential.
