Job Summary:

Ford & Slater Limited, a leading family-run business and one of the UK's largest DAF Truck dealers, is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join their team at their DAF Trucks Depot in Rugby.

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled HGV Technician to perform a wide range of tasks, including servicing and maintaining various trucks and vehicles, MOT preparation, and mechanical and electrical repairs. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as an HGV Technician or Mechanic within the HGV, Commercial Vehicle, LGV, PSV, Heavy Plant, Car, or associated sectors.

Responsibilities:

  • Servicing and maintaining a variety of trucks and vehicles
  • MOT preparation
  • Mechanical and electrical repairs
  • Attending technical or development training

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an HGV Technician or Mechanic
  • Qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
  • Time served HGV Technician
  • General level of computer literacy
  • Full UK driving licence

Working Hours:

The successful candidate will work a rotating shift pattern, with two different schedules:

  • Week 1: Monday to Friday, 6am to 2:30pm
  • Week 2: Monday to Friday, 1:30pm to 10pm
