The Housing Access Service is a multi-disciplinary service which provides a comprehensive housing advice and options service designed to prevent homelessness and rough sleeping, help customers find realistic and sustainable housing solutions which meet their needs from a range of options and allocate available council homes.

The DAHH will deal with all approaches to the Housing Access Service where domestic abuse is a factor. The caseload will be managed entirely by the team, including giving advice and support to prevent homelessness, registering clients onto the housing list, determining and discharging the Council’s statutory duties, finding suitable housing solutions, enabling Sanctuary Scheme measures to be secured and developing comprehensive Personal Housing Plans to enable clients to move on with their lives. You will work closely with Hull DAP colleagues to ensure that there is a smooth hand over of cases once housing actions have been completed.

If you have an in depth and broad knowledge of both domestic abuse and homelessness legislation, experience of providing advice and support to survivors of domestic abuse, with the skills and motivation to contribute to the development of this new service and be an advocate for it with partners, colleagues and stakeholders, please apply.
