ASSESSEMENT AND TRAINING CENTRE COORDINATOR

Salary £18 - £20 per hour

Temporary until July 2024 then reviewed - Opportunity for temp to perm

Hours 8:30 - 4:30 / 9 - 5

Based in Pimlico/Westminster

**Job purpose**:
To manage and grow the assessment centre [which offers independent EP assessments to a wide range of clients under the school], this includes liaison with parents and education consultants, a range of EPs, and other stakeholders. With the opportunity to offer a wider range of assessments and build relationships with other schools. Alongside this you would be supporting the team that run our external level 5 training course, helping administer the course during the academic year, advertising new courses and enrolling future students with the possibility of expanding this to Level 7 and beyond.

**About you**

You will be organised, have excellent interpersonal skills, IT skills, and a high level of English grammar. You will need to be able to balance both roles on a day to day basis, and deal with an array of deadlines and facilitate the clinic on a daily basis. You will be confident talking to parents and teachers and other stakeholders. You will be passionate about the expansion of both the assessment centre and the training arm of the school.

Experience of working in a school/SEN/Educational or similar environment is desirable.

**Main Responsibilities**
- To champion the centre and look at ways of increasing engagement (working with marketing to create a clear goal for the centre)
- To be responsible for the webpage for the assessment centre
- To coordinate the appointments for the assessment centre
- To build up a bank of freelance EPs and specialists
- To ensure we have the correct testing papers and equipment including being responsible for Q interactive
- To ensure reports are sent out to parents on time
- To liaise with EPs, parents, staff and other professionals to co-ordinate the re-assessment process
- To prepare papers for and follow up on re-assessments, ensuring that reports are proof read and PDF'd before being circulated to parents and SENCOs
- To work with The Bursar and The Board of Governors on any administration relating to the expansion of the Assessment Centre
- To have an excellent telephone manner and confidence to deal with the wide range of enquiries from parents, staff and external stakeholders
- To be able to produce and amend a range of correspondence, documents, and reports
- To support the manager of the Level 5 course, preparing information for weekly lectures, arranging meetings and supporting the course. This includes sharing documents via drop box and SharePoint
- Working with the course leader to ensure that the course ties in with the academic year at the school and ensuring accommodation is available for all lectures
- To support with organising course verification and marking
- To ensure that all attendees receive their certificates at the end of the year
- To keep the website updated with information regarding future courses
- To advertise the course to the wider school communities
- To support the administration department for example covering reception
- To help out with school functions and events
- To maintain a discreet and professional relationship with parents, staff, pupils, and visitors
- To have regard for the Health and Safety of the school and its pupils
