Based in London, the primary role of the IS Training Coordinator is to provide superior service to the firm’s customers in the assigned offices by responding to requests, analyzing needs, developing programs and delivering appropriate training and information. Coordinates the workload and evaluates the work of other local Trainer(s) in the assigned offices.

This role reports to the IS Training Manager.

Responsibilities include:

Expected to have an above-average proficiency and competency in all IS-supported software and hardware. Coordinates, schedules and delivers new hire training for all attorneys and staff in assigned offices. Works closely with Global Services personnel to implement smooth software rollouts. Participates in Firm-wide projects including regression testing, analysis of business needs, prototyping of software, research and development of best practices and analysis of user reaction. Researches, plans, organizes and delivers training programs for all attorneys and staff. Writes materials for training programs as requested; evaluates, learns and makes recommendations for changes for new programs and software upgrades. Distributes training aids such as bulletins, QuickCards and handouts. May also be asked to prepare any of the above. Maintains a working relationship with the Directors of Admin to determine specific needs within the office. Executes certification training program to required staff as established by the firm’s Human Resources department. Maintains visibility and communication with the members of the offices to determine training needs; offers “Just-in-Time” training as needed. Participates as an active member of the local office to provide platinum-level service in training and support. Contacts attendees and department representatives about training program opportunities (maintains an updated calendar). Schedules and prepares the setup of the physical classroom, conference room or virtual classroom. Maintains a working relationship with the Support Center and Support Services, actively participating in troubleshooting and problem escalation. Works with local IS technical team on various projects. Position may require limited lifting (25 lbs. or less). May assist Directors of Admin with testing and evaluating potential hires, e.g., assessing the technical skills of secretaries during the interview process. May assist outside consultants with preparation and administration of various training programs.

Qualifications

A successful IS Training Coordinator will be comfortable with one-on-one as well as group training. Must have the ability to translate technical concepts and terms into understandable terminology for participants. Key to success in this position is the ability to work with a diverse audience whose skill levels vary from the beginner, inexperienced user, to the advanced, power user. Must have ability to diffuse potential problems and enjoy working under challenging situations, while maintaining a positive approach toward their customers. Must be able to perform duties independently.

Experience

The candidate must have a minimum 10 years of verifiable experience delivering technical training in the legal industry and corporate environment. Successful completion of training assignments, as verifiable through evaluations or references, is required. The candidate must have solid knowledge of Windows 11 operating system, Microsoft Office 2019 (365 preferred), iManage 10, Cloud applications, Microsoft Teams and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with Apple iOS/macOS devices as well as legal applications such as Aderant Expert Time, Litera Compare, Litera Forte, InterAction and Foundation is a plus. Experience in a coordinator role is required. A four-year college degree or equivalent is preferred. Existing membership in any training-related organization is desirable.
