Office Administration Apprentice

**Who you’ll be working for**:
Burness Paull is a top tier independent commercial law firm. With offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen, they support clients across Scotland acting for private and public sector clients. They have a strong history of supporting a range of apprentices across their offices. A new apprenticeship opportunity has opened in their Edinburgh office.
The successful apprentice will be based around office support team and provide support to everyone within the office. This opportunity will be paired with the Business Administration Modern Apprenticeship SCQF Level 6, delivered by QA Apprenticeships.
**Responsibilities**:
- Scan, print and photocopy
- Organise incoming mail for all divisions
- Save correspondence and documents to iManage
- Collate documents and organise a daily Companies House delivery
- Create court bundles
- Locate related files and documents for closed matters
- Prepare documents for offsite storage, including creating inventories
- Send documents to offsite storage
- Recall records from offsite storage
- Open physical files, file hard copy documents and manage filing cabinet space
- Update the Powers of Attorney spreadsheet for offsite and internal POAs
- Manage internal Powers of Attorney
- Update contact information from business cards on Interaction
- Arrange for principal letters/documents to be signed by FEs/Partners in office when required
- Arrange for hard copy letters/documents to be posted

£21,840 per annum
**Working hours**:
32 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

- You can earn up to 30% of your annual salary in bonuses: the firm wide bonus scheme pays up to 10% of annual salary to all employees if the firm exceeds its profit targets and you can be awarded a bonus of up to 20% of annual salary if your performance is considered to be exceptional
**Future prospects**:
There are multiple routes for internal progression which will be considered at an appropriate time with your line manager; routes could include moving into the Office or Central Administration teams, Trainee PA or Legal PA

On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 6.
