Do you want to be part of an enthusiastic and expanding team delivering a first-class giving experience for donors to the University? Then we want to hear from you

You will be part of the Supporter Relations Team in the Office of Philanthropic Partnerships and Alumni (OPPA) and will be responsible for designing and implementing an innovative programme of stewardship for individuals who donate to the University, either aimed at ‘major and transformational donors’ (whose gifts range from £5,000 to over £1m) or ‘mass participation donors’ (who give under £5,000 per year). You will coordinate a programme of engagement and activity that stewards donors who give gifts of time and money by:

- thanking and recognising them for their gifts
- demonstrating the impact of their giving
- showing exceptional, professional customer care

We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic and can bring innovative ideas for supporter engagement that will ensure our stewardship programme stands out and meets the present day needs and wants of donors. You will use your skills in relationship and project management and communications to provide an outstanding giving experience for our donors, and reach key objectives in retaining their support. You will be dedicated to putting our supporters' needs and expectations first, and committed to supporting students and research at the University.

This is an exciting time to be joining our team. The University is embarking upon delivering its mission to become a University for Public Good and has just made a significant investment to increase philanthropy and alumni engagement over the next 10 years as we look to establish a more representative and inclusive community.

We are looking for people with:

- Strong interpersonal skills with experience of managing relationships and a commitment to exceptional customer care
- Able to write clearly, concisely and persuasively for reports and publications (including digital communications)
- Experience managing projects and events
- Enthusiasm for philanthropy and its benefits to students, the University and wider community
- Creative and innovative approach, with a willingness to contribute fresh ideas
- Organised and flexible with strong prioritisation skills

We are looking for two Donor Experience Officers to play crucial roles in the Office of Philanthropic Partnerships and Alumni (OPPA). OPPA is responsible for cultivating relationships with philanthropic donors and volunteers and maintaining life-long links with our alumni community through a range of benefits and services.

The Donor Experience Officers will join an expanding team of creative, visionary and dedicated professionals. The role will work with colleagues to achieve ambitious new goals to increase philanthropy and volunteering and develop a sector-leading alumni engagement programme.
