**Department**:
The School of Arts and Creative Technologies is a highly innovative part of the University of York, which brings together research, teaching and commercial activities in the fields of music, interactive media, film, television, and theatre.

We are expanding, recruiting new staff, taking on new students and developing new degree programmes and research priorities. The academic staff include both leading scholars and award-winning industry professionals.

The School’s award-winning buildings are designed to professional specifications and are some of the best-equipped facilities of its type in the UK. Its theatre facilities include: a superbly equipped 200-seat scenic stage theatre (based on the Sheffield Crucible), a 120-seat black box theatre, two large rehearsal rooms which are equipped with lighting rigs and can therefore also function as performance spaces, workshops where full sets can be constructed, a suite of well-equipped dressing rooms, a laundry, and set and costume stores. We also have three television studios, post-production suites and recording studios, a 140-seat digital cinema (the cinema also doubles as a superbly equipped lecture theatre); and office space for staff and graduate students. The level of provision throughout our buildings is on a par with top commercial facilities and is among the best at any university in the UK.

**Role**:
This position is to provide support at a ground level for all aspects of Theatre, Film and Television. The person will assist the theatre production officers and the film and television production officers with a varied array of tasks including but not limited to:
Compiling equipment booking requests, processing request forms, ensuring that all equipment is working and ready to go and checking in equipment on return.

Assisting with screenings in the screening room and providing support for and setting up sound and video equipment for conference type events.

**Skills, Experience & Qualification needed**:

- Level 2 qualification (Qualifications at this level include five GCSEs at grade A*-C/ grade 4-9. Please view the full list). We also welcome applicants with equivalent non-uk qualifications or equivalent professional experience
