**Hours**: 25 - 28 hours per week (permanent role)

**Salary**:£20-25,000 pro rata

**Location**: Hybrid, with two days per week in York office

**Specific responsibilities**

**Grants management**
- Be responsible for managing volunteer assessors.
- Prepare grant award recommendations and reports for the relevant decision-making process to enable appropriate decision on funding awards.
- Organise and support grant panels and committees, supporting them in the decision-making process
- Liaise with panel members in a timely and productive manner.
- Manage, monitor and evaluate grant awards and funded programmes including reporting on the impact of funds through analysis of applicant and grantee data, and including evaluation or project visits to funded organisations
- Work closely with the wider team (including trustees) to develop priorities and themes for new programmes and funds that address needs, build on local assets and are based on evidence.
- Maintain and improve data capture and recording requirements for the Foundation and use the information to demonstrate impact and inform the future distribution of funds.
- Be responsible for building relationships with fund holders and donors so that they are kept abreast of all grant-making and promotional activity in relation to their fund as well as ensuring that the foundation adheres to the agreed process for decision making.
- Provide relevant, analytical and comprehensive reporting to donors and funders.

**Supporting the team’s strategic development**
- Contribute to planning, creating and delivering the Foundation’s future strategy through the long-term plan and annual business plan.
- Be a named point of contact with key stakeholders (e.g. UK Community Foundations, major donors, 360Giving) with respect to our programme of grant making.

**Finance and operations**
- Be responsible for keeping accurate and complete financial records for each programme
- Taking responsibility for adhering to the Foundation’s financial procedures and controls.
- Ensure that records of grants approved, grants paid are kept up to date to enable fund balances and reconciliation with Sage is timely and correct.
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure recording and payment of grants is timely and correct.
- Be responsible for ensuring that grant applicants’ due diligence and related records (e.g. bank statements) are received and recorded to ensure timely payment of grants.

**Community leadership and learning**
- Attend and deliver information sessions and workshops on grants available and other programmes. Represent the Foundation at events to promote its work.
- Liaise with residents, community groups and other networks to raise awareness of the opportunities to benefit from funds - this may be via drop in events, others’ meetings or other means of engagement
- Facilitate groups to develop proposals for projects to be funded - giving advice on others good practice, bringing people together to build collaborative bids, adding knowledge from elsewhere.
- Take time to learn about our area of benefit and the people who live here with genuine interest and enthusiasm so you can effectively champion their needs and ambitions.
- Create a communications plan for each grant programme to seek to extend the reach of the Foundation’s funding.
- Keep abreast of developments and policy changes across the charity sector and especially the funding world.
- Work with the Head of Grant Programmes to position Two Ridings CF as a leading authority on the needs in communities in North & East Yorkshire, highlighting current and future challenges to ensure support from the Foundation and other organisations can be effectively targeted.
