**Role Summary**

Aubay is seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Global Energy client's IT delivery team within Power Trading and Renewable Power Generation. As a QA Engineer, you will focus exclusively on providing specialist planning, guidance, and co-ordination of end to end and user acceptance testing as well as a collaborative role in the continued development of more effective and mature quality assurance procedures.

**Role Responsibilities**
Co-ordinating end to end and acceptance testing including:

- ensuring test environments are available and integrated for the entire end to end flow prior to test commencement.
- scheduling test sessions and ensuring the appropriate personnel are available to contribute to the test and provide end user sign off.
- design and development of end to end and acceptance test scenarios in collaboration with product teams and business users.
- documentation and reporting of test outcomes.
- derivation of testing progress reports and quality metrics
- on-going communication with product teams to establish timelines for test planning.
- driving continuous improvement of end to end and acceptance testing processes and approaches.
- identifying, escalating and contributing to resolve risks, issues and blockages that would impact overall test progress.
- actively participating in review of acceptance criteria/requirements (static testing) to identify errors, omissions and areas of ambiguity.

**Required Skills & Experience**
- 5+ years relevant experience.
- Experience supporting the design of and executing end-to-end testing throughout the software testing lifecycle, including, test planning, test design, test execution and reporting, test closure.
- Experience working with / testing cloud solutions and data solutions.
- Design and execution of several types of software testing including feature and functional testing, end-to-end systems integration testing, regression testing and facilitating user acceptance testing.
- Maintain Requirement Traceability Metrics and Inspections of requirements / Test cases and managing it on periodic basis.
- Drive continuous process improvements and provide and Implement Quality Assurance standards and best practices.
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to quickly glean knowledge of systems, components and business processes under test.
- Ability to adapt to new approaches, technologies, tools and procedures.
- Ability to positively influence colleagues with regard to Testing matters.
- Ability to demonstrate proactive collaborative working across functional areas to deliver shared goals.

**Desirable Skills and Experience**
- Previous experience in the energy industry
- Familiarity with end-to-end power trading
