We are looking for someone with creative flair and innovative ideas to deliver engaging content using a range of channels.

**You will be joining a highly-respected, committed and energetic Corporate Communications team with responsibility for internal communications, stakeholder engagement, web, digital and social media, media engagement, crisis communications and campaigns. You will lead on communications activities and campaigns for internal engagement that are insight-led and impactful in reaching and resonating with our internal audiences.**

The main purpose of the role is to develop and deliver communications activity for Warwickshire Police to inform, influence and engage its workforce.

This is achieved through the delivery of targeted communications using channels that are appropriate to our audiences and the provision of specialist internal, engagement and change communications advice and support.

These communications should be outcome focused, support the delivery of the force’s Fit for the Future five year strategy and build the public’s trust and confidence in Warwickshire Police.

**Main Responsibilities**:
To develop and deliver tactical internal communication strategies, initiatives and plans in line with the identified force priorities using a wide range of communication channels and approaches. Lead on specific areas of communications as identified by the Corporate Communications Manager and business leads.

To provide strategic advice and guidance to senior officers/managers in relation to internal communications, workforce engagement and change communication matters and corporate reputation risks.

To develop and deliver advice and training to enhance the communication capability and capacity of the workforce.

To develop and implement appropriate project strategies and guidance, ensuring Warwickshire Police comply with relevant legal requirements and national best practice.

To make best use of appropriate and new technology, good communication practice, devise innovative and effective communication solutions to deliver targeted communications meeting operational and organisational priorities. Develop and evaluate the effectiveness of the delivery of internal communications, workforce engagement opportunities and change communications. Support the development of the force’s new internal communication channels and digital engagement opportunities.

To work with key service suppliers as required e.g. photographic services, creative concept, total marketing solution suppliers, intranet provider, national programme teams, third party partners. To actively develop our internal communication channels to improve their effectiveness.

To seek out new communication approaches and support the delivery of key change programmes to increase workforce engagement opportunities that support the improved efficiency of service delivery and public confidence and satisfaction in police services.

To establish and maintain professional and positive working relationships with key internal stakeholders to extend the reach of communications and support the effective delivery of corporate change projects. To negotiate and consult with both internal stakeholders to minimise risks to the reputation of the force.

To provide effective and efficient written communications and information which positively and proactively supports the achievement of the force’s strategic priorities. To develop effective two-way workforce engagement opportunities and ensure key information reaches the right people, in the right way and at the right time.

To undertake other duties commensurate with the nature, level of responsibility and grading of this post, as required.

**Knowledge**:
Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification.

Extensive knowledge of workforce engagement, ethics and codes of conduct and an exceptional understanding of the production, distribution and consumption of all forms of internal communications using a varied and diverse range of channels and methods.
