**What you will do**:

- As an InHealth Booking Coordinator you’ll be the first point of contact for all patient enquiries relating to appointment scheduling. You’ll need to be able to communicate with members of the public from a variety of different backgrounds and be able to rely on your organisation skills to meet the requirements of our patients. You’ll also need to be flexible to work in our weekly working pattern.

**What you are responsible for**:

- Receiving and handling inbound calls from patients looking to book or amend an appointment
- Ensuring that patients are provided appointment dates/times suited to their needs
- Contacting new patients to remind them of their appointments
- Escalating any issues as and when they arise
- Maintaining appointment data on internal systems for reporting purposes
- Maintaining and ensuring observation of robust quality assurance measures to meet national standards
- Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with all key stakeholders
- Any other duties as delegated by the Bookings Office Manager, Deputy Bookings Office Manager and Team Leaders.

**We are looking for someone who has**:

- GCSE or equivalent qualifications, and/or training/experience in patient care
- Experience in dealing with customers and/or patients and know how to handle their queries effectively and sensitively
- An understanding of the importance of patient confidentiality and is aware of data protection
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The interests of the health, safety and welfare of self and others, and who will comply with the requirements of health and safety regulations
- The ability to maintain and ensure observation of robust internal quality assurance measures to meet national standards
- A willingness and ability to give priority to patients and customers, delivering high quality services that meet their needs
- The ability to explain, advocate and express ideas in a convincing manner
- The willingness to respond to and react positively to customer requests, internal and external
- The ability to maintain and demonstrate appropriate technical knowledge relating to specific modalities, in order to investigate problems
- A demonstrable aptitude towards improving quality
- Understanding of the implications of the Data Protection Act, Caldicott Principles and GDPR.
- Working within a customer focused environment
- Working with MS Office
- Doing administrative tasks and duties
- Working as part of a team
- Taking incoming and making outgoing calls.
