- support and help develop NGPS' flagship Workforce Transformation projects;
- Administers, monitors, reports and networks on NGPS' behalf on multiple exciting projects, designed to recruit and retain staff in general practice across Newcastle.

This role reports to the Workforce Transformation Project Manager. It is a **Band 3** equivalent role.

**Main duties of the job**
- Provides administrative support in respect of ongoing project implementations.
- Supports, facilitates and monitors the progress of the projects, efficiently and consistently.
- Supports performance improvement initiatives.
- Manages elements of the broader Workforce Transformation project.
- The postholder will have specific responsibility for the development of the Workforce Transformation project administration service. This will require the development of stakeholder networks - from new joiners to very senior clinicians and external managers - to increase the usage of the service and the establishment of internal processes for consultation.
- Support the Workforce Transformation Manager in administrative and project support activities.
- Create innovative ideas and designs to primary care that will increase recruitment, recruitment quality and the retention of staff.
- Very organised and works at a fast pace

Newcastle GP Services (NGPS) is an ambitious and innovative membership organisation, providing support to 27 GP Practices across Newcastle. A small, friendly and professional team based in Gosforth, we deliver a range of services, including Urgent Treatment Centres, Outreach Bus, Enhanced Access, managing a primary care staff bank, as well as providing financial and administrative assistance to the seven Primary Care Networks (PCNs) in the city. Our mission is to ensure that voice of Newcastle Primary Care is heard, and that we work on behalf of our members to work at the right scale.

**Job Summary**
- Assists in ensuring the project is on schedule and provides administrative support as and when required by members of the team.
- To deliver Workforce Transformation administration and coordination objectives.
- Evaluate the success and effectiveness of training events and improve the success of future events as a result through the undertaking of market research/feedback.
- Maintain and further develop relationships with all stakeholder organisations across Newcastle
- Work closely with the Project Manager on strategy to strengthen the service across Newcastle.
- Contribute to Workforce reports.
- Write regular update report to be submitted to the ICB.
- Promote the Career hub service through various media e.g. the staff magazine, staff update, website, press releases, social media, charity information boards, marketing materials.
- Contribute to updating and developing content on the Workforce App/ website.
- Works with Project Manager to develop new training opportunities across all areas, particularly in areas where demand is high.
- Undertakes research to evaluate Workforce Transformation impact on Newcastle Primary Care.
- Administration for Workforce Transformation project.
- On occasion, deputises for the Project Manager, in relation to attendance at meetings or training events.

**Analytical Skills**
- Judgement and assessments on complex projects where there is a range of facts or situations requiring comparison of a range of options.
- Analyse data in order to meet project requirements.
- To analyse and interpret feedback to ensure partner relationships are maintained and all stakeholders are up to date with issues, problems, decisions, etc.
- Investigate and deal with information and project issues using analytical and judgemental skills to identify and resolve a range of problems.
