Key Duties and Responsibilities In collaboration with senior colleagues, lead the Apprenticeship workforce implementation in Newcastle General Practice, ensuring all key deadlines are met, reporting progress against defined actions as required To coordinate the work of different work streams within implementation activities, developing detailed plans to ensure that core NGPS values are promoted at all times. To compile implementation reports and papers, ensuring reporting mechanisms are delivered and that a clear quality assurance route is maintained so that progress can be effectively monitored, and presenting these in a variety of settings To develop an implementation communication strategy, being clear about communication needs at the different stages of implementation and identifying the different roles and forms of engagement with internal and external stakeholders often involving negotiation and persuasion. Establish and maintain good communication channels and relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Agree on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure data is compiled and reported to the NGPS Executive Board.

Monitor the implementation and evaluation of the Apprenticeship roles within Newcastle General Practice, identifying and making decisions, and escalating concerns to the Project Manager and / or Lead Nurse as necessary. Provide coordination of and participate in relevant internal and external working groups related to the implementation of Apprenticeship roles across the Newcastle General Practice, providing Apprenticeship advice, expertise, and support where necessary. Lead and facilitate workshops for staff within Newcastle General Practice ensuring they meet NMC and Institute of Apprenticeship standards to ensure a smooth transition of the role into General Practice. Ensure Apprentices and supervisor/practice assessor feedback is used to improve staff and Practice experience.

Partaking in the evaluation of Apprenticeships, providing reports, and attending meetings with relevant external organisations as required to address issues and concerns. Involve key stakeholders to ensure the Apprenticeship/Direct Entry Education is modified according to the results of theevaluation. Participate in the recruitment of suitable applicants to Registered Nursing Associate (RNA) and Apprentice Nursing Associate (ANA) apprenticeship vacancies, in line with workforce planning and strategy. Coordinate, and develop procedures, plans, and develop strategies to implement and embed Apprenticeships across Newcastle General Practice.

This will ensure patient safety related to clinical care, professional requirements, and mandatory and statutory training is prioritised whilst ensuring these are in line with national policies. Develop and provide support and guidance to managers to undertake and complete quality impact assessments within Newcastle General Practice, sharing learning to identify trends that reduce risks. Attend relevant meetings with regional partners and higher education establishments, providing strong, skilled professional leadership and support to all members of the workforce involved with the implementation of the Apprenticeship role across General Practice. Participate in audits to inform program developments and effectiveness.

Manage and maintain information databases which would be regularly reviewed and updated. Establish processes to evaluate the impact of the implementation project, through collecting and collating data, and writing evaluation reports on a quarterly basis with the number of apprentices commencing/on the programme. Represent NGPS at external stakeholder meetings, providing support, expertise, and advice.Clinical Maintain Professional Registration status. Maintain a clinical presence clinical competence and credibility by working alongside Registered Practitioners in General Practice.

To work clinically, Supervising Apprentices when needed. Continue to develop professional skills including coaching, mentoring, project planning, and problem-solving.Educational Line manage the Project Administration Officer to ensure delivery of objectives. Work collaboratively with higher education establishments in managing learner placements, mapping, and ensuring an individualised approach to enable learners to meet their course requirements. Create practice-based opportunities for learning to reinforce the classroom-based theory so that learners achieve the requirements to complete their program of study Facilitate the integration of current theory and practice within training and education, working with specialist registered professionals, education leads for learners and other key stakeholders to ensure they reflect evidence-based practice and service needs.

Work in partnership with the other educational leads and clinical education team to develop a framework for developing effective preceptors and educators to prepare staff for clinical practice. Work collaboratively
