Payroll manager required to take full ownership of payroll function; running both monthly payroll and weekly contractors payroll.
**Client Details**
My client is a very friendly and sizeable engineering/ construction business. They have a great take on flexibility and require a payroll professional to join their team. This role would suit someone who has knowledge of processing weekly contractors payand salaried staff.
**Description**
The role will involve the below, however the role will evolve with time:
- Managing and taking ownership of monthly an weely payroll
- Own entire payroll process including creation of subcontractor certificatesResponsible for efficient processing of new starts, leavers ,rate changes etcMaintenance of Employee and Subcontractor contracts, records, etcLiaison with Construction Managers acrosstwo companies in order to obtain payroll raw dataProduction of weekly costing reports, ad hoc reportsLiaison with HMRC and weekly and monthly updating of HMRC returns for Employee and Subcontractor Pay runsEfficient and timely calculation of weekly and monthlypension returnsProduction of reports for CITB returnsLiaison with clients concerning payroll auditsLiaison with company auditors as and when requiredMaintain Holiday Records and process Holiday Pay as required.Production and processing of wages journals ona weekly basis.Payroll of 30 to be processed weekly2 Labour Only payment runs in 2 companies covering 80 and 150 including agency workers
**Profile**
- Be a strong communicator
- Have both weekly and monthly payroll knowledge
- Be studying or keen to study
- Have knowledge/ understanding of working with contractors/ CIS scheme
- Have previous working knowledge of labour intensive payrolls (time sheets based payroll/ contractors)
- Be keen to make improvements and efficiency's
