**About the role: -**

Reporting directly to the Group Payroll & Benefits Manager, the Payroll & Benefits Administrator will play a pivotal role in delivering a proactive, responsive, and quality-driven payroll service. The primary responsibility involves ensuring the accurate and timely processing of bi
- weekly & monthly payroll on ADP IHCM Payroll, with focus on processing starters, Leavers etc plus assisting with the main Itrent Monthly payroll.

As part of the People team, you will be an advocate for inclusion and champion behaviours which always support the Group’s Values.

**Key Accountabilities: -**
- Accurate input & processing of relevant data required for the bi-weekly & monthly payroll runs.
- Timely follow-up on timesheets & approvals within specified timeframes by payroll deadlines.
- Addressing queries on all aspects of payroll and escalating to Payroll Manager when necessary.
- Updating payroll records as required
- Processing starters & leavers
- Liaising with 3rd party regarding payments
- Understand National Insurance contribution.
- Manually calculating statuary payments (SMP/SSP/SPP)
- Dealing with DEA’s & AEO payments
- Cultivating effective working relationships, close collaboration, and communication across the business
- Providing timely & proactive responses to all inquiries.
- Assisting with pensions as and when necessary.
- Sending P45/Payslips to leavers who are not able to access ESS self Service.
- Ensure that all monthly payroll data is sent by people team before designated deadlines & chase up if not received.
- Assisting Payroll Manager with checking vetting and pre commit reports before payroll approval.
- Liaising with our payroll provider with regards to amendments & changes to the payroll as well as the general enquiries
- Stakeholder Management reporting

**KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Working towards a CIPP qualification (or working towards) is desirable.
- Previous experience in a Payroll & Benefits administrative role or similar position.
- previous experience of ADP
- Understanding of Payroll processes and procedures.
- Familiarity with Payroll databases and systems.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Innate ability to challenge processes to seek continuous improvement.
- Able to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent customer service skills
