Position Summary:
The Education Coordinator at North West Media Ltd will play a pivotal role in the design, implementation, and delivery of targeted broadcast media and music production education and engagement programs, primarily through the New Talent Academy. This role involves overseeing program delivery, monitoring, evaluation, and safeguarding of participants. The Education Coordinator will work closely with stakeholders, partners, and the programming team at Unity Radio to ensure the successful execution of educational initiatives and successful qualification attainment for participants.

Key Responsibilities:
Participant Recruitment and Engagement:
Recruit participants for education courses and maintain ongoing communication with participants and their parents/guardians (where applicable).
Develop positive relationships with participants to ensure engagement in opportunities and progression pathways.

Project Planning and Management:
Lead the planning of projects in collaboration with delivery partners and stakeholders.
Create safe and conducive learning environments, addressing any safeguarding concerns promptly.
Devise action plans, including 1-2-1 sessions, tailored to participant development stages.

Resource Management and Training:
Task support staff and allocate resources effectively.
Identify training and development needs for staff and participants.

Curriculum Development and Delivery:
Develop and enhance face-to-face and online curriculum, including digital and corporate radio courses.
Monitor participant progress in accredited courses and facilitate attainment of required accreditation.

Administration and Reporting:
Manage project administration, including databases, consent forms, and course materials, ensuring compliance with standards.
Assess and mark work for accredited courses and liaise with accrediting bodies.
Arrange external industry speakers for courses as needed.
Report to funder and stakeholders
Support with grant bid writing

Additional Responsibilities:
Contribute to the development of new projects and educational products.
Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
Demonstrate flexibility in program delivery as required.
Pursue ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Attend regular staff meetings, represent the organization at events, and participate in weekly meetings with directors and colleagues.
Manage course equipment and marketing materials for curriculum activities.
Keep facilitators updated on course schedules and relevant events.

Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in education, media studies, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience in designing and delivering educational programs, preferably in the creative media sector.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and database management.
