**The Post**
Reporting to the Head of Employee Experience and Development and working in close collaboration with colleagues in Communications and Marketing, you will support the successful delivery of the University’s People Strategy and employer branding by developing and strengthening employee engagement and communications with employee stakeholders, current and prospective staff.

As Employee Experience and Engagement Partner, you will support the delivery of a new approach to employee engagement at the University. Your role will span the employee lifecycle, working closely with colleagues across HR&OD to define the key moments in our employee journey and create a structured communications and engagement strategy that enables us to better understand and respond to the needs of our employees to deliver an exceptional staff experience. Through effective communications and project management, you will be responsible for ensuring that employee engagement initiatives make a real impact for our people.

This pivotal role will play a key part in contributing to the development of a sector leading approach to employee experience and engagement. You will have experience of engaging successfully with a range of stakeholders. You will be confident working in a fast-paced, agile environment. You will be an exceptional communicator, ensuring each communication has a clear purpose and takes into account stakeholders’ different needs. You will understand the strategic drivers for employee experience and engagement at the University and align activities to contribute to wider organisational priorities whilst remaining alert to emerging issues and trends which might impact your work. You will also take a positive approach to tacking problems and find ways to identify suitable solutions.

**Description of Duties**
- Own, develop and deliver an effective content calendar and content creation plan for regular internal and external communications from the HR and Organisation Development team which will develop, foster, and grow employee engagement across the University and support visibility of the impact of the HR & OD function
- Work in partnership with key stakeholders to support the design and implementation of an Employer Value Proposition (EVP) for the University
- Plan, design and manage communications, in partnership with the Communications and Marketing team, including development and maintenance of online content (e.g. relating to staff policies and guidance) which are visually appealing, informative, and easy to navigate
- Maintain a working knowledge of the range of activities ongoing within the HR & OD function to proactively identify opportunities for wider engagement and celebrating success, as well as to assess staff information requirements
- Support colleagues in the HR&OD team to design key messages related to people activities that are aligned to our values and strategic priorities with the aim of enabling our leaders to talk to our people in a simple and consistent tone
- Manage our ongoing programme of pulse surveys to monitor employee engagement across the University, analysing the results and implementing action plans and initiatives, making visible the link between feedback and action
- Track and measure the employee engagement activity and experience, adjusting delivery where required, making sure that we are meeting the needs of our people and helping our leaders make the most out of every opportunity
- Embed the University brand “Be the Difference” across communication platforms and HR processes, including recruitment and selection, induction and L&D interventions, ensuring consistency of brand and key messages across all communications
- Working in collaboration with marketing colleagues, support the Recruitment and Resourcing team to develop a social media strategy which attracts top talent to the University
- Project manage and input into the organisation and delivery of employee engagement events
- Further develop the Manager’s Network and use appropriate technology platforms to create opportunities for people managers across the University to connect and engage with each other, enhancing leadership capability and supporting upskilling and knowledge exchange
- Actively promote new ways of working and continuous improvement within HR & OD to provide a high quality, professional, consistent, and cohesive HR service
