The Children’s Hearings System provides the operational setting in which SCRA and our partner agencies work. The aim is to provide a safety net for vulnerable children and deliver tailored solutions which meet the needs of the individuals involved, while helping to build stronger families and safer communities.
As a key member of the HR & OD team, a generalist role has arisen to support the Head of HR, HR Managers and HR Business Partners in the delivery of a solution focused and comprehensive HR service. As one of two HR & OD Officers, working alongside the HR Assistant, you will be a first point of contact on all queries relating to the employee lifecycle, including advice, guidance and support on recruitment and selection, absence management, employee relations, learning and organisational development activities, benefits administration, as well as job design and evaluation.
Experience of working in an HR environment is essential, with an understanding of managing absence and recruitment and selection. Experience of undertaking employee relations investigations and developing appropriate action plans and support is also essential. You should have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to act confidentially with tact, diplomacy, respect and empathy in line with our Core Values. The ability to communicate clearly to be able to provide concise and timely advice and guidance to managers and staff is also essential. You will be resilient, self-motivated and committed to continued professional development. Your development will be actively supported.
