Senior Education Administrator

The Christie facilitates and hosts a number of learning opportunities for experienced health care professionals from across the UK and internationally working within oncology. Observerships are primarily designed for international medical graduates who have been practising abroad and wish to gain experience and an appreciation of the nature of clinical practice in the NHS in the UK. The Christie offers a personalised learning experience developed by our expert clinicians.
The Workforce Development Team within Christie Education are looking to recruit our Band 4 Senior Education Administrator. The post holder will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and will be the specialist point of contact in relation to visitors and international programmes. As a Senior Education Administrator you will complete a range of checks and tasks to support visitors to have a placement on site, including ensuring governance arrangements are in place and that suitable timetables/programmes are prepared and developed for visitors from a range of countries and organisations. The post-holder will need to build good working relationships with key stakeholders, Medical Staffing, HR, our Medical colleagues, and network across teams and work proactively across clinical sites as required.

General
Provide a quality, client focused service customer-centred approach
Be the lead administrator working closely with potential visitors to support the delivery of a planned visit programme
Meet and greet visitors into the Trust
Working closely with senior clinicians on the development and delivery of high quality learning programmes, linked to key learning outcomes
Provide administrative support at key education related meetings and committees including creating agendas, and recording minutes
Maintain and review accurate records for activity delivered by the team ensuring it is clear, coherent and consistent - use this data to inform current and future plans, to ensure activity continues to be delivered to a high standard and identify potential areas for development
Network with key partners to support and promote engagement with the visitor programme
Be a specialist point of contact
Commitment to complete all necessary governance arrangements required to facilitate a visitor on site - attention to detail and a methodical approach essential
Develop and provide local information packages to support visitors to the Christie
Christie Education provides a wide variety of learning and higher education opportunities in cancer care, treatment and research. This includes developing learning and events which meet the highest expectations of our client group; nurses, doctors, allied health professionals, amongst others. Our team provides a significant output from face to face, hybrid and on-line learning - using the latest technologies. The team are focused on developing high quality learning opportunities which support the experience of cancer patients, wherever they may be
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
General
Provide a quality, client focused service and instill a customer centered approach
Be the lead administrator working closely with potential visitors to support the delivery of a planned visit programme
Working closely with senior clinicians on the development and delivery of high quality learning programmes, linked to key learning outcomes
Provide administrative support to international education programmes
Liaise with appropriate education colleagues to ensure that the visitor programme is managed within the context of student placements, fellowships and other visitors to clinical areas
Provide administrative support at key education related meetings and committees including creating agendas, and recording minutes
Maintain and review accurate records for activity delivered by the team ensuring it is clear, coherent and consistent
Network with key partners to support and promote engagement with the visitor programme
Produce detailed data analysis, to inform current and future plans, to ensure activity continues to be delivered to a high standard and identify potential areas for development
Coordinate specific activity to include speaker/sponsor/delegate liaison, preparation of materials, and venue/facilities management
Be present at events to coordinate all activities and be the main point of contact
Deliver schedules to include; liaising with visitors and Trust representatives, adhering to governance arrangements
Develop and provide local information packages to support visitors to the Christie
Create social events to support group visits
Work flexibly to attend meetings and events outside of core office hours
Finance
Raise purchase order requisitions, invoice external organisations, process personal payments, ensuring that processes comply with the Trust’s Standing Financial Instruct
