**Overview**:
Inclusion Hampshire (working name of “Inclusion Education”) supports young people within the local community who have special education (SEN) and mental health needs. It operates an Independent Special School in Basingstoke for young people aged 11-16, a college based in Hook for young people aged 16 and over and a Workplace Support Hub based in Basingstoke supporting those over the age of 18.

This is an exciting opportunity based at our Inclusion School, for an experienced administrator. Reporting to the School Administration Manager, you will work as a member of a small and supportive team providing day-to-day school operations support for this rapidly expanding charity-based, education organisation.

**General Duties**
- Assisting the School Admin Manager in any administrative tasks as required.
- Answering the phone when required (including to parent/carer admission enquiries).
- Cover and support for another Admin Assistant when required.
- Filing, scanning, photocopying, laminating.
- Administering medication.
- Any ad-hoc requirements to support the running of the school.
- Assist with organising parents’ evenings and other meetings and events, including the organisation of rooms and equipment, and providing refreshments as required
- Respond to telephone and face-to-face enquiries efficiently and in a professional and supportive manner
- Respond to messages promptly and accurately, passing on information to relevant staff members if necessary

**Specific Duties**
- Processing of Admissions paperwork.
- Communicating with the local SEN team to provide the school with necessary information as part of the admissions process
- Arranging staff cover and ensuring work is provided.
- Support with school Health & Safety administration.
- Support with Exams administration.
- Training - monitor and maintain key staff training.

**Experience and Skills**

GCSE Maths and English grade C minimum, with high level competency in English.
- Excellent IT skills - Word, Excel & general knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint an advantage.
- Confident friendly telephone manner.
- Strong organisational skills are a must, along with an ability to prioritise throughout the day.
- Ability to interact with a wide range of learners, parents, and visitors to the school, both in school and on the phone.
- An eye for attention to detail to produce work with a high level of accuracy.
- Be flexible to be able to cope with conflicting demands, deadlines, and interruptions.
- Can work independently, remain calm and maintain professionalism when working under pressure in a busy school environment.
- Understanding of working with vulnerable young people and the importance of safeguarding, confidentiality and GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).
