**The role**:
Working within our successful Micro Measurements Division we are looking for a new Sales Administration Assistant. You know who you are, and we want to know who you are too. This full-time role is based at our Basingstoke site in the UK, 4 days on site and 1 day working from home (5 days in total). Being an enthusiastic and pro-active Administrative Assistant, you will be required to work as part of a wider team within a busy and demanding environment, supporting the activities of the Divisional and Regional Sales Managers and Engineers.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Raise sales quotations as a response to both customer requests and from external Sales Managers
- Order management incorporating order entry and acknowledgement; planning despatches; date management based on Planning and Purchasing reports; raising pro-forma invoices where appropriate.
- Provide prompt and comprehensive responses to customer queries relating to stock availability, delivery and complaints. Become the customer’s voice within the business - aspire to exceed customer expectation, and to develop and optimise the relationship.
- Take ownership of arising issues, ensuring investigation and timely resolution.
- Co-ordinate product returns in line with defined RMA process and arrange credits.
- Raise purchase requisition for stock and non-stock items.
- Update the due date on purchase orders when order is confirmed.
- Contact supplier when orders are overdue for delivery and update due date on purchase order when new date is confirmed.
- Update sales orders, customer and external sales with new dates.
- Request quotation for repairs, raise purchase requisition and order.
- Release daily shipments and work orders.
- Maintain new items via planning maintenance, supplier item maintenance, price list maintenance (PUR) and item-site cost maintenance.
- Manage direct orders for Strain Gauges, electronics and accessories on inter-company sources.
- Maintain customer databases QAD & CRM

- Experience of customer service in a B2B manufacturing or distribution environment
- The ability to handle and prioritise a fluctuating, varied and sometimes pressurised workload is important.
- Experience using internal MRP systems and the full Microsoft Office suite
