**About The Role**
The Linkline Service operates 24 hours a day 7 days a week offering a range of alarms to residents within the borough. Your role within the team is to work 5-days a week (36-hours) and be able to maintain and install a range of telecare equipment in any property within the London Borough of Hounslow with due consideration for health and safety of both the Alarm Installer and the client.
During installation the Linkline+ Officer will instruct clients on how to use the equipment to summon assistance from the Linkline Service, explain any additional peripherals and their functions and carry out all necessary administration work, referrals in support of their role or to assist the client. Maintain stock and audits of equipment within the service.
**About the Team You’ll Be Working In**:
- To be responsible for completing Telecare assessments in the community and identify creative solutions including the provision of Telecare and standalone assistive technologies to enable services users to remain in their own homes according to their wishes; and to promote independence, choice and wellbeing.
- To maintain and install a range of telecare equipment in any property within the London Borough of Hounslow with due consideration for health and safety of both the Linkline+ Officer and the client.
- To instruct clients on how to use the equipment to summon assistance from the Linkline Service, explain any additional peripherals and their functions and carry out all necessary administration work, referrals in support of their role or to assist the client.
- To maintain stock and audits of equipment within the service.
- To have strong organisational, problem solving, IT and report writing skills will be essential in assessing service users’ needs and producing comprehensive reports. You will need to be skilled at prioritising and screening new referrals, by working closely with the Business Support Team and the Linkline Officers.
- To work with adult social services to promote the Telecare service and a champion for Telecare and assist with complex cases, assist with just checking cases for Telecare service in liaison with social service.
- To monitor referrals received from social workers and other professional bodies, and to offer guidance and assistance where required.
- To organise the delivery of services and respond to urgent demands for service and to facilitate hospital discharges.
- To work collaboratively with the Linkline Officers to offer a seamless service to users.
- To keep equipment clean, tidy and maintained for operational use.
- To ensure reviews are completed on an annual basis and to test the alarm equipment, peripherals.
- To promote the service by attending community activities and other corporate events and meetings.
**About You**
- Ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision prioritising and responding calmly and efficiently in an emergency understanding the need for and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Good standard of numeracy and literacy and ability to keep accurate records and collate data.
- To communicate effectively with all levels of staff, outside bodies and members of the general public, representing the organisation and service users.
