**About The Role**
About The Linkline team. We operate 24 hours a day 7 days a week offering a range of alarms to residents within the borough. As a Linkline Officer you will work shifts covering the control centre answering a range of calls from clients activating their Telecare alarms to visiting clients in their homes or living in Sheltered Schemes within the Borough. This may include offering assistance during an emergency and using equipment to provide an assisted lift to a client who is uninjured.
**About The Team You’ll Be Working In**
- To staff the call answering/scancom system, respond to calls in an appropriate manner to meet the caller’s needs and record the nature of each call and the action taken.
- Make routine calls to clients to check on their well-being as required and where required use the lifting chair after completing an assessment if necessary.
- To co-ordinate out of hours responses with the emergency services in response to a range of Council emergencies such as fire, flooding or gas leaks within the borough.
- Diagnose and replace faulty dispersed alarms, following Health & Safety guidelines, assist clients in use of alarm system and complete paperwork.
**About You**
- Ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision prioritising and responding calmly and efficiently in an emergency understanding the need for and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Good standard of numeracy and literacy and ability to keep accurate records and collate data.
- To communicate effectively with all levels of staff, outside bodies and members of the general public, representing the organisation and service users.
- A good understanding of IT systems and ability to use these within the role, including Call Handling systems.
**Essential for the Role**
Enhanced DBS check is required for the role.
