Senior Electoral Services Officer

**About the role**
Responsibilities will include:
- Provide technical expertise, advice, and direction in all types of elections, referendums, and electoral registration.
- Stay up to date with the latest developments, regulations, and legislation related to elections and electoral registration.
- Assist with the management and coordinate elections, election registration, and associated activities.
- Utilise election management software and systems effectively to ensure accurate and efficient processes.
- Analyse and interpret complex data and information related to elections and voting patterns.
- Assist with the recruitment and training for all election staff appointment by the Returning Officer
- Have a can-do attitude, and to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, during peak election periods.
**You will need**:
- Experience of working flexibly as part of a team and collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders
- Experience of being involved in continuously improving services and developing products to meet customer need
- Ability to remain calm and confident when dealing with challenging customers and environments
- Ability to resolve complex issues by negotiation
- Deliver commitments and take ownership of own caseload, reshaping of plans to deliver required outcomes
