An exceptionally rare opportunity to join our excellent planning service at West Oxfordshire District Council has arisen, with the current postholder retiring after more than 35 years of service.

You will be joining a well-established planning policy team to help spearhead and shape a variety of high-profile projects including the development of a new Local Plan for West Oxfordshire.

This permanent, full-time role offers the flexibility of working within the offices at Witney and agile working, allowing you that extra freedom and work life balance.

We are seeking a highly skilled planner to join our dynamic planning policy team and play a pivotal role in delivering strategic planning and corporate priorities including the new Local Plan 2041.

**You will need**:

- Educated to Planning related degree or equivalent in a relevant profession with relevant on the job experience.
- Full Membership/ qualification for the RTPI.
- Substantial experience at Senior Planner level.
- Ability to inspire and successfully motivate others towards shared objectives.
- Deliver commitments and take ownership of own caseload, reshaping of plans to deliver required outcomes.
