Finance and Compliance Officer

**Coeliac UK** currently has an exciting opportunity for a **Finance and Compliance Officer, **to** **join our team hybrid working, including on site at Coeliac UK Head Office, **High Wycombe**. You will join us on a **full time**,** permanent basis**. In return you will receive a competitive salary of **£30,600 per annum.**
Coeliac UK represents over 60,000 members providing information and support to those affected by coeliac disease or following a gluten free diet. We also campaign on behalf of all those living with coeliac disease and undertake research into the causes of the disease.
Here at Coeliac UK, we have an exciting role as our new **Finance and Compliance Officer**.
You will have a commitment to the vision of Coeliac UK to provide day-to-day accounting and compliance management support to colleagues and external partners.
You will have strong financial management and administration skills, good written and oral communications skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a small team.
**Key responsibilities of the Finance and Compliance Officer**:
- Sales ledger tasks from setting up new customers to credit control
- Recording income and expenditure onto Finance System
- Ensuring the bank reconciliation and other monthly routines are completed on a timely basis
- Ensuring supplier payments, expense claims and grants to partners are correctly approved and coded
- Assisting in the preparation of the monthly management accounts
- Managing the payments process, including setting up payments (UK and foreign) on the electronic banking system
- Resolving Groups/volunteers finance and banking queries
- Resolving finance queries and requests from budget holders and suppliers
- Assisting with compliance work such as maintaining compliance systems e.g., contracts and risk management systems and updating regulators' portals
**Knowledge, Skills and Experience required for the Finance and Compliance Officer**:
**Essential**
- Good attention to detail
- Experience in bookkeeping, working with finance and CRM systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (particularly Word and Excel), with advanced Excel skills
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to the vision of the Charity.
- Excellent planning and time management skills.
- Proactive and supportive, with a positive outlook
**Desirable**
- Experience working within the charity sector.
- Finance or accounts qualifications.
